Riccardo Calafiori's header condemned United to a narrow defeat in their Premier League opener on Sunday, and while Amorim's team showed positive signs, the Portuguese made history – but not in the way he would have wanted.

According to OptaJoe, Amorim has now lost 15 of his 28 Premier League games (with seven wins and six draws). This is the fastest a manager has reached that many defeats in the competition, without taking charge of a newly promoted club in that period, since Paul Hart with Portsmouth in 2009 (27 games).
